Repaint Surfaces
The reality is not all graffiti/tags can be removed. When it appears on an already painted surface, it is a different kind of problem - but fortunately there is always a solution to hand.
For example, if it’s a very high-quality original gloss paint underneath, we can often lift the marker/paint off the already painted surface with one of our specially formulated biodegradable cleaning agents.
Whilst onsite, we will assess and test patch, establish how successful any result will be and make the right recommendation to you.
It may well be the case though that the only option is to block out the graffiti/tag and paint over. DETAG can also help with this.
How DETAG can help you.
If you do decide to repaint, you can ask us to do this for you. If you don’t have any paint left over from the last time your surface was painted, DETAG can expertly match and source an existing colour and paint a surface edge-to-edge to clean up unsightly markings.
We also carry on-board the van some popular exterior paints for Brighton - white, conservation standard magnolia (BS 4800 08 B15) & pale cream (BS 10 C 31) as well as black masonry paint. We would always recommend you colour match if none of these colours work for you. That way, you get a perfect result and you return the surface to how it was pre-attack.

GRAFFITI FACTS
Taking matters into your own hands may seem like a good idea but using the wrong chemicals may actually enhance the appearance of graffiti and tags – particularly on stone walls. You can also cause shadowing and edging in the surface.
